Noel Loomis (1905-1969) was born in Wakita, Oklahoma and educated at the University of Oklahoma. Beginning in 1929 he became a free-lance writer of adventure and western fiction novels and scripts. During his short life Cook was a soldier, commercial aviator, deep-sea diver, logger, peace officer, and writer of western and adventure novels and stories.
